You are allowed to begin again and sometimes, beginning again is the bravest thing you’ll ever do.

When I started the Transfer Talk series, I thought I was just documenting a journey. But somewhere between the flight tickets, the first-day jitters, the empty apartments, and the unexpected friendships, I realized something else was happening!

I was learning what it means to grow without guarantees.

And that’s what this final episode is about.

I’ll be honest, I’ve been trying to find the ā€œperfectā€ topic for this last post. I kept thinking I needed something big or new or different. But the truth is, the major chunk of this experience has already been covered in the previous blogs. And maybe… that’s exactly the point. As cheesy as it might sound, I really believe the only thing you can do especially when life stops making sense is to keep going. So instead of searching for a brand-new concept, I want to close this series with four reminders I give myself every day. Four things that help me not spiral, not overthink, and not assume the worst.

Because these are the lessons that kept me afloat. And maybe they’re the ones you need too.

🌱 You Don’t Need to Have It All Figured Out

We don’t talk enough about how much honesty it takes to say, ā€œI don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m trying.ā€ Change rarely comes with a roadmap, and clarity doesn’t always arrive at the beginning. Not having everything figured out doesn’t mean you’re lost, it simply means you’re human. Honestly, even when it looks like everyone has their life perfectly figured out especially on social media and LinkedIn, it’s never the full picture. People curate their wins, their highlights, their achievements, and their confidence, but no one posts the uncertainty, the nights they questioned everything, or the moments they felt behind. It’s so easy to compare your real life to someone else’s edited version, but the truth is: nobody has it all together. We’re all just trying, learning, and figuring things out one step at a time.

😣 Feeling Anxious or Scared Doesn’t Mean You Made the Wrong Decision

Hard days will happen, even when you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. You might feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or question whether moving forward was a mistake or whether choosing this was wrong. But difficult moments aren’t signs of wrong choices, they’re just part of the journey. Every fear you face eventually becomes proof that you showed up anyway.

šŸ’¬ Ask for Help! It’s Not Weakness, It’s Wisdom

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that one ask goes many ways here. Ask for clarity, support, guidance, or simply a reminder that you’re not alone. There’s nothing embarrassing about needing help. In fact, it’s one of the smartest things you can do because growing alone is overrated, and community makes everything lighter. And honestly, talking to even one person can open up five different ideas, perspectives, or solutions you never would’ve thought of on your own.

šŸŒ‡ Every Place You Go Adds a Chapter, Not a Label

Transferring, moving, or starting over don’t define you. They don’t make you ā€œthe girl who movedā€ or ā€œthe student who switched.ā€ Infact, it simply shows that you chose growth over comfort. And even if you feel a little out of sync with your cohort because you took a different path, it doesn’t mean you’re behind, it just means you were brave enough to choose what was right for you. Every place you go becomes a new chapter that teaches you something, shapes you, and helps you grow into who you’re meant to be.

So as I wrap up this final episode, I just want to say this - if you’re in a season of change, confusion, starting over, or trying to figure things out all over again, you’re doing better than you think! You don’t need to know the whole story to take the next step. You don’t need certainty to grow. And you definitely don’t need to compare your journey with someone else’s highlight reel. If this series has shown me anything, it’s that we’re all just trying, learning, unlearning, and beginning again in our own ways. And honestly, that’s enough.

Thank you for reading, for following along, and for letting me share pieces of this journey with you. Here’s to the courage to start, the patience to continue, and the strength to keep going even when nothing feels clear yet. šŸ’Œ
